The monarch said the man that stole the motorcycle was hiding it in his room and was apprehended during a house to house search by the local security team.
“Our community security combed everywhere and items dropped in different places were taken to the Divisional Police Headquarters, Iragbiji.
“A man who hid a motorcycle in his room was apprehended and handed over to the police with his loot,” the chief said.
Oba Olabomi said a young man who was afraid of the house-to-house search as directed by Governor Gboyega Oyetola, decided to send a brand new generator which he stole to Ekiti State.
“Unknown to him that our taskforce were on patrol, he was caught at Oloti boundary and handed over to the police,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Osun State government has recovered more items from the looters who took other peoples’ properties under the guise of #EnSARS protest.
The recovered items were returned to the owners at the Government House in Osogbo, the state capital on Thursday.
The owners of the items expressed appreciation to the state government for assisting them to get their properties back.
Though some owners are yet to show up to claim their properties, the state governor, Mr Gboyega Oyetola, said after the expiration of the amnesty given to the looters to return items, anyone caught with them would face the full wrath of the law.
The governor commended the Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba AbdulRasheed Ayotunde Olabomi Odundun IV, for guarding against looting and destruction in his town and for arresting looters from neighboring towns.
Oyetola commended the monarch for making Iragbiji peaceful by preventing hoodlums from overrunning the town during the incident that happened in the state last Saturday.
The governor, who spoke through his Chief Press Secretary, Ismail Omipidan, used the avenue to celebrate Oba Olabomi’s birthday.
He said: “On behalf of my family, the government and people of Osun, I warmly felicitate with you, our father, Oba AbdulRasheed Ayotunde Olabomi Odundun IV, the Aragbiji of Iragbiji, on the occasion of your birthday, today, October 29.”
“As you celebrate, I am very sure your heart is filled with joy for what Almighty Allah has helped you to achieve all these years. Under your leadership, the town and the people of Iragbiji have continued to witness tremendous leap. Looking forward, I pray that all your dreams and wishes for the people of Iragbiji and Osun come true,” he said.
