Nasarawa State Government has commenced capacity building training on e-government for civil servants.
The state governor, Abdullahi Sule, said while declaring the first phase of the training open in Lafia that his administration would ensure digitalization process of government activities in the state.
The governor who was represented by the Head of Service, Mr. Nicholas Aboki said the data processing training was meant to improve the quality of service delivery to the citizens and transparency in government affairs.
According to him, the training was to sensitise and show direction to the civil servants on the role of e-government in reducing corruption and cost of governance as well as economic development of the state.
In his remarks, the Director General, Bureau for Information and Communication Technology, Alhaji Shehu Ibrahim said 228 data processing officers were being trained in the 1st phase.
