#EndSARS: Monarch rejects Makinde’s N100m, calls for youths empowerment

The Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi has rejected a donation of N100m from Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde.

The money, according to the governor, was meant for the cost of renovation and repairs of the ancient and expansive Ogbomoso Palace, which was attacked and damaged by hoodlums, thugs and miscreants, who disguised as #EndSARS protesters.

However, in a letter dated October 19, 2020, addressed and delivered to the governor, the monarch stressed that the cost of the repairs and renovation of the wrecked palace will be borne by a coordinated community effort of Ogbomoso sons and daughters in addition to the sum of N10m released so far by the governor.
