The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF has announced the appointment of former Super Eagles captain and Coach, Austin Eguaveon, as the new Technical Director as recommended by the federation’s Technical and Development Committee.
This was contained in the communiqué issued at the end of the Executive Committee of Nigeria Football Federation meeting via video conference on Tuesday, 20th October 2020 to deliberate on important issues in Nigerian Football.

The NFF, therefore, said following his appointment, the former Enyimba FC coach will work with Mr. Paul Aigbogun (Deputy Director, Technical & Scouting) and Terry Babatunde Eguaoje (Consultant on Coaching & Development).
Others are Abdulrafiu Yusuf (Assistant Director, Coaching & Development); Siji Lagunju (Assistant Director, Training & Development) and Garba Lawal (Chief Technical Officer).
The federation said the appointments are with immediate effect.

In another resolution, the NFF Executive Committee endorsed a proposal by the League Management Company to fix the calendar for the 2020/2021 Nigeria Professional Football League to commence anytime from Sunday, 15th November 2020 and end the season by June 2021, with full adherence to the Federal Government’s COVID19 protocols and other requirements as may be prescribed
