Policemen attached to Orile police Station, Lagos State Police Command, ran for dear lives when armed street urchins and cult gang members on Tuesday morning set the police station on fire.
Most of the Policemen were said to have hastily changed their uniforms to plain cloths before joining the crowd who had converged along the Mile 2-Orile expressway.

Some said the protest, which was peaceful, turned violent following the killing of a young man by a Policeman attached to Orile Police Station.
It was learnt the killing triggered off the attack on the station which led to the burning of the station.
Meanwhile, commercial activities at the Lagos ports, Apapa and Tin-Can Island Ports were grounded on Tuesday morning after #EndSARS protesters took over the two major access roads to the seaports.
The protests were, however, peaceful as protesters dance to different music played by DJs hired by the group to entertain the crowd.
The protesters are demanding for good governance, an end to brutality by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery (Squad) and an outright scrapping of SARS and SWAT.
