Hundreds of youths protesting police brutality in Nigeria on Monday disrupted business activities at the Onne Ports Complex in Rivers State.
The multi-billion-naira investment at Onne affected by the protest were the Federal Ocean Terminal, the Federal Lighter Terminal, the Onne Oil and Gas Free Zone, Intels Services, Prodeco, the Nigerian Naval Vollwge, and scores of other oil and marine services companies that operate in the area.

The youths defied heavy downpour and blocked the strategic Federal Ocean Terminal, F.O.T. Junction a development that caused a gridlock that saw trucks stretching for several kilometres on the Onne – East/West Road.
The youths carried placards with #EndSars messages to lament brutality of the defunct SARS and urged the Nigerian government to bring members of the squad indicted foe extra-judicial killings to book.
The protesting youths also demanded employment, empowerment and social amenities from the companies operating in the area.
While police and other security agents kept watch, the youths took time off to play football, sing and dance and then prepare themselves a lunch of boiled yam and goat pepper soup.
In a related development hundreds of women on Monday took to the streets of Port Harcourt on a protest against police brutality and the disbanded SARS in Port Harcourt.
The protesters who were led by a Niger Delta Right activists and other notable women matched from the popular UTC junction to Government House gate where they waited to be addressed by Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike.
Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr Ipalibo Harry condemned the activities of SARS and promised to convey their massage to the governor.
Some of the protesters who spoke with reporters said as mothers and sisters they were pained by the brutal activities of the Nigerian police.
