Some celebrities across the country have been at the fore-front of the end SARS protest.

In an emotional video, Tiwa Savage takes her message beyond the shores of Nigeria.

Award-winning singer Tiwa Savage hailed Nigerians as strong, special people, and called on Beyonce to lend her voice to the end SARS protest which has rocked the nation.

Savage said this in an Instagram live session, where she spoke about the state of the nation and the lack of basic social amenities such as infrastructure, electricity, pipe borne water and healthcare.

She pointed out that some of the rich who feel that the protest doesn’t concern them should wake up because it affects everyone.

“I’m calling on Beyonce and her team, the same way they used their platform… to elevate and to show the world that Black is King and how beautiful Afrobeat and Africa our culture is.

“I want them to please use their voice and their platform right because the same country that birth this genre (Afrobeat) is on fire right now,” she said.

Dressed in a T-shirt and without make-up Savage said Nigerians “are strong, clever people, special people.

“We don’t realise how bad our country is because we are able to make do with what we have.

“We are able to manage.

She explained that Nigerians are not even protesting for basic amenities which they deserve and talked about how lack of proper healthcare can affect every citizen, whether privileged or not, particularly in the event of an accident.

Protests have been on in different parts of the country, particularly in Lagos and Abuja regarding police brutality.

This has led to the scrapping of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) by the Federal Government, but the protests have persisted.

Savage was part of Beyonce’s ‘Black is King: The Gift Album’ project.
