President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Assistant on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie, and Nigerian singer, Ayo Balogun (Wizkid), are engaging in a war-of-words on Twitter.
This degenerated to a point when Onochie referred to the singer as a ‘Dumb kid’ rather than ‘Whizkid’.

The exchange of words between the duo is coming on the heels of Wizkid’s comment about President Muhammadu Buhari’s tweet to American president Donald Trump, where Buhari wished Trump and his family a quick recovery from the novel COVID-19 pandemic.
I wish US President, Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, quick and full recovery from Covid-19.

Wizkid in his response to Buhari’s tweet referred to him as an old man and asked him to face his country without dabbling into the affairs of America.

- ‘He’s a Dumb kid’
Onichie in her response to Wizkid’s tweet said the singer exhibited crass ignorance, insensitivity and childishness with the way he addressed the president as an old man, and this made her refer to him as a ‘dumb kid’
“Its not disrespectful to call anyone old.
“Its the way and manner Ayo Balogun addressed the President that leaves a sour taste in the mouth.
“He exhibited crass ignorance, insensitivity and childishness. But hey, he’s a #DumbkidNotWhizKid.
“When he grows up, he might learn respect.”

- ‘Age has nothing to do with better governance’
Responding to her tweet, the ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner stressed that he’s simply demanding for better governance in his country, adding that age had nothing to do with his demand.
“Lol a 77-year-old man is not young ma. You are a woman and a mother and kids are getting killed by police/sars and this is all you have to say? shame on you!!! shame on you!! I am a father and age has nothing to do with demanding for better governance in my country!!”
