Nasarawa United have reposed confidence in the ability of striker, Adamu Hassan to lead their charge for laurels as they unveiled the player during a brief ceremony that was held on Monday in Lafia.
The unveiling ceremony which was conducted by the Team Manager of the club, Solomon Babanjah followed the player’s successful medicals.
The former Kwara United player retraced his steps to home-club for the second time from Kano Pillars after he found playing time hard to come by in the camp of the ‘Masu gida boys’.
In an earlier interview with Daily Trust, the pacy forward said he had no option than to leave Pillars when it became evident that for no good reason, he was no longer needed in the club.
Babanjah described Hassan as a worthy addition to the team as he said the player will bring his wealth of experience to bear during the period he will be playing for the club.
Shortly after putting pen on paper for the Lafia-based ‘Solid Miners’, the striker, fondly called ‘Baba Ramatu’ by his fans, said he cherished the move as he reiterated that it was an emotional moment for him.
He, therefore, promised to put in his best to ensure that Nasarawa United win laurels in the football seasons ahead.
“As the saying goes, there is no place like home. I am feeling very much at home and I will redouble my effort to ensure we take this club to higher heights.
“I have put behind me the disappointment in Kano Pillars. I have a new assignment so I am completely focused on it,” he said.
Hassan is making his second return to the ‘Solid Miners’ after leaving the club for Kano Pillars during the 2017/2018 League Season.
