The President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Dr. Akinwunmi Adeshina, Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Tukur Buratai, and Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai are among 60 Nigerians identified as eminent nation builders for a compendium to mark Nigeria’s 60th anniversary.
Others are late Jafar Mahmud Adam, Pastor Bimbo Odukoya, Sheik Muhammad Auwal Albani, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Dahiru Abubakar, and former Governor of Central Bank, Prof. Charles Soludo.
Other persons named in the compendium are Dr Ojo Onukaba, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Zack Orji, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, Mallam Garba Shehu, Ayo Fayose, and Fani Kayode among others.
Briefing newsmen in Abuja , Chairman Project 60@60 Dr Abubakar Mohammed Sani, and Chairman, Editorial Board, Project 6060.org, Akanimo Sampson, and Media Officer, Halima Nuradeen, said the compendium tagged ‘ The Nation Builders at 60’ is aimed at celebrating outstanding individuals who have distinguished themselves in various fields of endeavors and contributed immensely to the Nigerian project.
The compendium is organised by Project 60@60 in collaboration with Sprezzatura Publishing.
