Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku has assured RCC construction firm handling the construction of bridge across River Benue in Ibbi town, the headquarters of Ibbi LGA of the state, that adequate security will be provided for them to carry out their work.
The governor, who gave the assurance on Friday when he visited the project site in Ibbi, commended President Muhammadu Buhari for awarding contact for construction of the bridge.

Ishaku, said the contract for the bridge which was awarded at N57 billion has been on the drawing board since 1960.
He said communities in southern Taraba have been yearning for the project and expressed appreciation to the president for actualizing their dream.
Ishaku, revealed that president Buhari had once visited Ibbi town when he was the chairman of the defunct Petroleum Trust Fund and pledged constructing the bridge back then.
He urged the people of Ibbi and Wukari LGAs, who would be the first beneficiaries of the project, to give maximum support and encouragement to the contractors handling the project
