Ebenao group merges with Gburugburu structure

Ahead of the 2023 political activities in Enugu State, the Ebeano political group, which has produced leaderships in the state since 1999, has merged with the Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s political structure, the Gburugburu camp.

This is even as Governor Ugwuanyi advised members of the Ebeano political dynasty to always live in peace so that the state would continue to maintain her position as one of the safest and peaceful states in the country.

Daily Trust on Sunday reports that some key politicians in the state who emerged upon the plank of Ebeano such as a former Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, stayed away from the event. Also, Senators Ken Nnamani, Ayogu Eze among others shunned the ceremony.

The founder of the Ebeano group and former governor of Enugu State, Senator Chimaroke Nnamani, literally actualized the merger when  he led almost all the key political  stakeholders who had risen through the Ebeano political structure to Government House, Enugu where they paid a “Thank You” visit to Governor Ugwuanyi for his good governance and peaceful style  of leadership in the state.

Senator Nnamani, who addressed the huge crowd said politics is a very serious business, despite whatever description people give it, although he admitted that “the problem is how do you balance the interests.”

He described Ebeano as a structure which gives every member the opportunity to aspire to any office or position in line with the directive or approval of the leader, the governor.

Earlier, Governor Ugwuanyi said the visit was a demonstration of the group’s support for the peace and progress of the state “under my watch,” adding that all the messages from the group were well noted.
