COVID-19: DEPOWA donates palliatives to orphanage home

Defence and Police Officers Wives Association (DEPOWA) has donated palliatives to the Divine Love Orphanage and Less privileged people’s home, Kubwa, Abuja.

The President of the association, Dr Mrs Omobolanle Olonisakin who spoke through the Vice President, Mrs Ogbomwen Abies at the event, said the association was aware of the hardship going on in the country due to the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic hence decided to identify the less privileged around and assist them.

She said that the palliative which include food stuff and household items will go a long way in helping the managers take care of the children in the home.

She urged the managers of the orphanage home to use the items judiciously.

On his part, Manager of the home, Mr Chinedu Chibuzo said the home has 29 children and was in need of the donation to cater for the children.

He assured that the items donated will be used judiciously used to cater for the needs of the children in the home.
