ACCI, UniAbuja to partner on skill devt, others

The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry said it would collaborate with the University of Abuja on skill development, innovation, commercialisation of research and the new Abuja University Business School.

Prince Adetokunbo Kayode, President of the Chamber, stated this while receiving some management staff of the university led by its Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abdul-Rasheed Na’Allah.

Kayode told the delegation that the chamber’s Business, Entrepreneurship, Skills and Technology Center Centre supports and equips young graduates with skills that would make them employable.

According to him, ACCI’s Dispute Resolution Centre, trains youths and not only lawyers on disputes settlement.

He said the centre also provides arbitration services.

“Graduates today have certificates, but have little skills” he decried, stating that the center helps in bridging the skills gap by providing business, entrepreneurial and technology to training youths.

Earlier, Na’Allah said the visit was to seek collaboration with ACCI in various aspects including its new Business School.
