Katsina State police command has rewarded three indigenes of the state for their heroic deeds of disarming bandits and surrendering the seized weapons to the police.
The three courageous youth, two young men and a lady, whose names were hidden for security reasons, were intercepted and abducted by the bandits on their way to an undisclosed location, but confronted their abductors and successfully disarmed them.

The state Commissioner of Police, Sanusi Buba said they were rewarded for their exemplary act of courage and a rare display of honesty.
CP Buba said the trio were not only brave but honest to surrender the weapons they have collected to the nearest police station.
“I am pleased to present this token to these heroes and heroin in appreciation of their extraordinary courage and honesty,” the CP has said.
