Fani Kayode reminds us a lesson in journalism – Buhari’s spokesman

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, says the recent verbal attack by a former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, on Daily Trust reporter in Cross River, Eyo Charles, is a reminder of a course in journalism which points out that “there is no stupid question, only stupid answers”.

Shehu, on his twitter handle @GarShehu, said: “In journalism 101, you learn that there is no stupid question, only stupid answers. A former Nigerian minister just brought home this lesson.”

Last Tuesday, there was an outrage across Nigeria following a viral video, which showed Fani- Kayode threatening to deal with Charles on August 20 during a roundtable with journalists in Calabar.

SPONSOR AD

Charles had asked Fani-Kayode to explain who was sponsoring his trips from one state to another “to supervise projects.”

The former minister has apologized following the barrage of criticisms that trailed his outburst.
