The All Progressives Party, APC, in Bauchi State has berated the state government over non-payment of workers’ salaries under the pretext of continuous verification of civil servants.
However, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in its reaction, said the government inherited backlog of three months workers’ salaries, apart from pension and gratuity of over N27 billion from the APC government in the state.

A statement signed by the state APC publicity secretary, Adamu Jallah, said there was no justification for the government to withhold salaries of some staff for three months while it was receiving its monthly allocations from the federal government.
The PDP, while reacting through its state publicity secretary, Yayanuwa Zainabari, said APC was responsible for ghost workers racketeering in the state where one person was receiving the salaries of 10 people in the name of settling political scores which plunged the state into serious problem.
