The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero and his host, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari have expressed readiness to strengthen the historic relationship that exists between the two emirates.
The two monarchs spoke briefly when Ado Bayero arrived at the inner palace of his host at Oja-Oba in Ilorin, Kwara State on Thursday.

Ado Bayero arrived at the palace at about 3:45 pm and was warmly received by Emir Sulu-Gambari who said “I’m very happy to have your Royal Highness in Ilorin, the city of Sheikh Alimi.
“Your visit today is historical in the history of Kano and Ilorin emirates.”
The Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Mohammed Bashir Salihu, had, in a brief prayer, asked Allah to grant Sulu- Gambari and Ado Bayero long life and peaceful reign in their respective emirates.
Emir Ado Bayero had arrived at Ilorin International Airport at 1.45 pm and was received by a mammoth crowd which gave the entourage a rousing reception.
