The president of the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN), Aliyu Oroji Wamakko has commended the appointments of Senator Gbenga Ashafa and Hon. AbdulMumin Jibrin as Managing Director of the Federal Housing Authority and Executive Director, Business Development, respectively by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Wamakko, in a statement, said the appointments justified the present administration’s commitment to the delivery of affordable housing for all.
He said the appointees’ experience in law making would come to bear in managing the affairs of the FHA.
He said this would lead to robust housing policies implementation that would enhance housing delivery nationwide.
He called on the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, “to match word with action on his recent announcement that the apex bank was going to provide palliatives to support the housing development in order to create employment and revitalise the economy.”
