The District head of Tambuwal, the country home of Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state, Alhaji Sa’ad Mainasara has died at the age of 58.
He died around 9:00pm on Thursday at a private hospital in Abuja, following a protracted illness.
The deceased is survived by two wives and nine children, including seven male and two female.
His funeral will take place today (Friday) in Tambuwal at 2:30pm.
The Shamakin Tambuwal, Muhammadu Bello while extolling the virtues of the late district head, described him as religious, humble and visionary leader that had his people at heart.
He noted that the deceased would be remembered for his steadfastness in the cause of his people.
The younger brother of the district head, Almustapha Dahiru, said as a retired health worker, his late brother had always been at the forefront in the fight against polio and other child killer diseases which earned him several award and commendations.
“He had been championing the cause of masses and orphans in the area. In fact, he used his own money to pay for their medical bills,” he said
Both of them, prayed Allah to forgive the deceased and grant him Jannatul Firdaus.
