One person was burnt to death on Monday in an accident involving a commercial vehicle along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The incident, which happened at the Long Bridge inward Arepo, worsened the gridlock outward Lagos, it was learnt.

The bus, marked LSD-715XV, was gutted by fire on motion claiming the life of a passenger leaving several others injured.
The cause of the fire could not be ascertained, according to the preliminary report by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency.
Though the accident happened at the jurisdiction of Ogun State, LASEMA intervened to clear the expressway of the gridlock in line with the extant collaboration between Lagos and the neighbouring state.
Those injured, it was learnt, were rescued by Police and road safety officers while the LASEMA response team recovered the burnt vehicle off the road to ensure smooth vehicular activities in the axis.
LASEMA spokesman, Nosa Okunbor confirmed the accident. He said, “One of the passengers got burnt beyond recognition and other victims has been rescued by Police officers and FRSC and were moved to trauma center. However, the affected vehicle has been moved to a layby and is not obstructing vehiclular movement.”
