N7.5bn grant: TETFund involves private institutes, others in research

The Tertiary Education Trust Fund has included Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, non-state entities and private research institutes in research development.

The Executive Secretary of TETFund, Prof. Suleiman Elias Bogoro said this followed the increase of National Research Fund Grant from the N5bn in 2019 to N7.5bn in 2020.

He said this in Abuja while inaugurating an implementation committee as a follow-up to a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Fund in January 2020 to boost research and development for the technological and overall economic development of the country.
