Labour to FG: Pay retirees’ entitlements

The Nigeria Labour Congress, on Tuesday, urged the Federal Government of Nigeria to release the benefits of retirees from June 2019 to July 2020, given the adverse effects of the coronavirus pandemic on them.

NLC president, Ayuba Wabba, made the call in a letter to the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige.

He commended the government for its recent decision to release N7.45bn accrued rights and benefits into the Retirement Savings Accounts of federal retirees covering April and May 2019.
