Twitter reacts as Kanye West set to battle Trump for US presidency

Twitter users have reacted to the declaration by American rapper, Kanye West, to join the United States presidential election slated for November 2020.

West made the declaration via his official twitter handle @kanyewest on Saturday.

He wrote: “We must now realise the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future.

In reaction to his declaration to contest and challenge Republican candidate, Donald Trump and his Democratic rival, former Vice President Joe Biden, many Twitter users have taken to Twitter to voice their opinions.

While many viewed his ambition as way to pave way for Trump as he would sweep some presume votes from Biden, others have thrown their weight behind his bid.
