The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has raised N258.75 million from the sale of expression of interest and nomination forms to 12 governorship aspirants on the party platform.
The APC had asked each governorship aspirant to pay N22.5 million, including N2.5 million for expression of interest form and N20 million for the nomination form.

However, female aspirants and the physically challenged were asked to pay 50 per cent of the fee.
The 12 aspirants,who bought the forms including one female contender, are Oluwatimi Odunayo Akeredolu, Joseph Olusola Iji, Odimayo Okunjimi, Olayide Owolabi Adelami, Kekemeke Duerimini, Olusola Oke Alex, Ifeoluwa Olusola Oyedele, Awodeyi Akinsehinwa Akinola Colinus, Olubukola Olarogba Okunola Adetula, Dr Abraham Olusegun Michael, Dr Nathaniel Olumuyiwa Adojutelegan, and Olajumoke Olubusola Anifowoshe.
The APC had on May 20 released the timetable for Edo and Ondo state governorship primaries.
The party fixed Ondo State Governorship Primary Election for July 20, 2020 ahead of the main election scheduled for October 10, 2020.
The former APC National Organising Secretary, Emma Ibediro, had said that “The sale of forms to Ondo state governorship aspirants will hold from June 11 to July 1, 2020 while submission of forms ends on July 2, 2020.
“Screening of Ondo state aspirants will hold on Wednesday July 8, 2020, while screening appeal (Ondo) holds on Friday July 10, 2020.”
Ibediro said the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had in February, fixed Sept. 19 for the governorship election in Edo, while that of Ondo State was fixed for Oct. 10.
