Three persons Wednesday died while two others sustained injuries when a MAN Diesel truck crushed a Toyota Corolla car around Ajegunle area on Papalanto-Ilaro road in Ogun State.
It was gathered that the accident occurred around 8:30am when the truck driver lost control of the wheels due to brake failure and collided with the Corolla car coming from the other direction.

Spokesman of the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) Babatunde Akinbiyi, disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abeokuta, the state capital.
He said five people were in the Toyota car marked JJJ 91 GD, while two people were in the unmarked truck.
He said both the dead and those who sustained injuries were passengers in the car.
Akinbiyi added that the injured were taken to Ilaro General Hospital while the deceased were deposited at the hospital’s mortuary.
“The truck was inbound Papalanto from Ilaro, while the Toyota Corolla car was outbound Papalanto to Ilaro when the crash occurred.
“The truck was on top speed when it lost control due to brake failure and collided with the car that was coming from the opposite direction.
“The accident vehicles have been deposited at Ewekoro Divisional Police Command, including the truck driver and the motor boy,” he said.
