A resident of the Igando relief camp in Lagos State, Mrs. Titilayo Sulaimon, 28, has been delivered of a baby boy, the state emergency management agency (LASEMA) confirmed yesterday.
The camp was set up by the state government for victims of the Abule Egba pipeline explosion which occurred in January 2020.
The mother was said to have been admitted at the camp clinic initially and was subsequently taken to the Alimosho General Hospital.
Director-General of the agency, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, in a statement said Mrs Sulaimon was successfully delivered of a baby boy through Caesarean Section at around 11pm on Thursday June 11, 2020.
This would be the second child to be recorded at the camp in the space of two weeks. On June 5, 26-year-old Mrs. Madubike Promise was also delivered of a baby boy.
