The speaker of the Ondo state House of Assembly, Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun has said the House is not planning to impeach Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu over the N4.3billion discovered in a secret bank account.
Oleyelogun said the lawmakers were not planning to remove the governor as being speculated.
The amount was said to have been discovered in a secret account and spent without appropriation.

Speaking with journalists, the Speaker said report that the House of Assembly would activate impeachment move against Akeredolu over the N4.3bn fund is not true.
Oloyelogun described the report as the handiwork of mischief makers.
“We are not fighting the governor at all.
“All we have been doing over the N4.3bn fund is part of our oversight functions and it is in the interest of the state.
“Mr governor has not done anything to warrant any impeachment plot and we are not fighting,” he said.
However, he said the House will get to the root of the matter.
