The police in Nasarawa State have burst an alleged kidnapping, extortion and armed robbery syndicate in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of the state.
The police spokesman in the state, ASP Ramhan Nansel, said, “A former Councillor of Umme Ward under the PDP, Umaru Adamu, has been arrested in connection with kidnappings in the local government.”
ASP Nansel said the other gang members arrested with the former councillor were Yahaya Yusuf (26), Yusuf Enno (50) and Buhari Yusuf (30).

He said the suspects had been on the wanted list of the command and were arrested after painstaking intelligence gathering.
