President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled with the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Yusuf Buratai, over the death of his mother, Hajiya Hauwa Yusuf Buratai.
President Buhari, who had a telephone conversation with Lt.Gen. Buratai on Wednesday, said his late mother lived a pious, prayerful and generous life.
The president, in a statement by his media aide, Garba Shehu, condoled with all members of the family. He urged the family to find solace in Hajiya Hauwa’s good works.
Buhari prayed that the almighty God will receive the soul of the departed matriarch and comfort Lt. Gen. Buratai who had been at the epicenter of war against terrorists in North East.
Meanwhile, the chairman of Globacom, Mike Jnr, has commiserated with President Buhari over the death of Malam Abba Kyari, his Chief of Staff.
Adenuga, in a condolence letter, described the deceased as a “great patriot whose love and self-sacrificing dedication to the interest and progress of our country remained noble and intense until his death.’’
“Although Malam Abba Kyari is no longer with us, his brilliant contributions and impeccable legacy will last forever and continue to remind us all of the need to do our best for family and country during our brief sojourn on earth,” the letter also read.
