One of the drivers of the four buses that brought the Almajirai from Lafia, the Nasarawa state capital, who spoke with our reporter on condition of anonymity, said they were on their way back to Lafia with the Almajirai after they were rejected by Taraba state government when they received instructions to head back to Jalingo with the Almajirai.
An official of Nasarawa state government, who escorted the Almajirai and asked not to be named, said all the evacuated pupils were quarantined and all of them tested negative for coronavirus in Lafia before they were taken to Taraba state.
He said the Almajirai suffered trauma because of the way and manner they were treated in their home state.
