Lagos releases 4 COVID-9 patients, raising total to 94

Lagos State Government on Saturday discharged four more COVID-19 patients from isolation centres, bringing to 94 the number of patients successfully managed and discharged in the state.

The discharged patients are three males and one female.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu who tweeted on his verified twitter handle @jidesanwoolu explained that two of the patients were discharged from the Infectious Disease Hospital at Yaba while the other were discharged from Onikan Isolation Centre having fully recovered and tested negative twice consecutively to the virus.

While he said that Lagos state has so far lost 13 people to COVID-19, he noted that each person had a unique story and came from a different background.

“Today, we mourn them and recommit to doing all we can to slow the spread of COVID-19,” he said while he emphasized that the risks are real.

He urged Lagosians to continue to stay at home and follow guidelines from the State Ministry of Health and the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
