COVID-19: Corp member donates allowance to support Kogi Govt

A Kogi-born National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Miss Moribirin Rosemary has donated her March allowance to the fight against COVID-19 pandemic in the State.

Daily Trust reports that the 2019 Batch C stream 2 corps member earlier donated hand sanitizers to the Squadron Team set up to by the State government to check the spread of the virus.

“I am donating this token to support the state government in this fight and I pray that Kogi would not be amongst the state to be affected,” she noted.

The corps member who is currently serving in Abuja said COVID-19 is a global pandemic that if not properly curtailed might spread beyond control.

“That’s why Nigerians must obey the social distancing order and maintain good personal hygiene as well as using hand sanitizer”, she advised.

Miss Moribirin who said the donation was part of her community service, called on public-spirited individuals and corporate organisations to donate generously in the ongoing efforts to curb the spread of the pandemic.
