COVID-19: Retirees shut down activities

The Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP), National Headquarters, has shut down its activities for the next one month, from 25th March to 24th April, 2020, in view of the rampaging COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria and the world.

The General Secretary of the union, Elder Actor Zal, disclosed this in Abuja in a statement.

The union also directed all its members across the states nationwide to follow suit.

The release added, however, that essential services shall be carried out by the top management staff of the union who will be operating from home and office.

The release further directed that any transaction with the union headquarters should be carried out through the telephone, short messages, e-mail or any other available on-line medium.
