Three persons namely Abubakar Sada, Kabiru Sani, and Alhassan Ahmed have been arrested in connection to the killing of a couple.
The trio were said to have on 23/03/2020 at about 20:00hrs, attacked the residence of Abubakar Aliyu, now late where they killed him alongside his wife Aishatu Surajo, at Marina Quarters, Mashi LGA of Katsina state after robbing them.
The spokesman of the state police command, SP Gambo Isah, said the trio were arrested based on a tip-off. The items recovered include 0ne HP laptop computer and two GSM handset with Recharge cards of different networks.
He said, he sum of two hundred thousand naira cash and other household items were equally recovered
“one Mansur custom. Is now at large and we are after him as well. Bunches of keys belonging to the deceased husband including a sword and pestle were found on them” he said.
Also, on 22/03/2020 at about 20:oohrs, based on a tip-off, Operation Puff Adder attached to Safana Division, while on patrol, accosted one Muhammed Gidado, m, aged 27 years of Safana LGA of Katsina state on an unregistered motorcycle Bajaj.
He said “When the motorcycle was searched the team recovered ninety-six rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition and the sum of Seven hundred and eight thousand naira from the suspect “
