The Kano State Government has announced that it will construct a new flyover at the Kantin Kwari Textile Market in Kano Metropolis in its effort to decongest the very busy areas of the state.
The state Commissioner for Works, Engineer Mu’azu Magaji, during a press briefing, said the flyover was in addition to the already started flyover recently commissioned by the Vice President, Yemi Osibanjo, which he said was at 40 per cent.
Engr. Magaji said the flyover would start from Kofar Mata to Ibrahim Babangida Junction and across the entire Kantin Kwari Textile Market.
The commissioner also revealed that the state government had revisited a road construction that was abandoned 10 years ago and that a total contract sum of N7.02b had been approved for the project which linked Karaye, Kabo, Kumbotso and Tofa local government areas.
