Plateau United leading goal scorer, Ibrahim Mustapha has said he is happy to return to training after injury ruled him out for close to three weeks.

The former Enyimba FC striker had missed the home match against Dakkada FC of Akwa Ibom and Sunday’s 0-0 draw at Lobi Stars of Makurdi.

Speaking to Daily Trust yesterday, the CHAN Eagles player expressed gratitude to God for making it possible for him to overcome the injury setback.

He said he has recovered fully and is rearing to go in Plateau United’s future matches.

The player who has scored eight goals in the ongoing NPFL season is also aiming at this year’s Highest Goal scorer Award.

He said “I am happy to be back. I resumed training today (yesterday) after I was sidelined for close to three weeks.

“I missed our two matches against Dakkada and Lobi Stars. It is unfortunate but the most important thing is that I am back to continue from where I stopped in the first round.

“The competition for the Highest Goal Scorer Award is getting tougher than before but I am ready to give my best shot. I want to win the end of the season,” he said.
