Govt moves to control teacher absenteeism

The Gombe State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has urged teachers to be dedicated to their duties and shun absenteeism and lateness.

The Executive Chairman, Mr Babaji Babadidi, stated this during an interactive session with head teachers in Gombe.

He said the session was one of the measures being put in place to improve teaching and learning in public schools and that the board would not tolerate absenteeism and lateness by teachers.
