The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has delisted 10 Computer Based Tests (CBT) centers in Abia State due to infractions, extortion of candidates, thereby reducing the total number of centers in the state to 13.
JAMB said the decision to delist the centers came as a result of discoveries made by the Board on their activities during registration and the main examination in 2019.
Speaking to newsmen after monitoring the exercise at some registration centres in Umuahia, the state capital, the Chairman of the Governing Council of JAMB, Dr. Emmanuel Ndukwe said some centers could not meet up with the rules for accreditation.
Speaking on the ongoing registration of candidates, scheduled to last from January 13-February 17 which has been hampered by bad network connection, Dr Ndukwe said he had complained over the matter to the Director of Information Communication Technology (ICT) at the JAMB Headquarters, Abuja, assuring that adequate attention was being accorded to it.
