Lawmaker pays fees for 100 undergraduates

The Member representing Bida/Gbako/Katcha Federal Constituency of Niger State, Saidu Musa Abdul has paid the fees of 100 indigent undergraduate students in various universities.

The beneficiaries were both fresh and returning students from the 34 wards in the constituency.

Abdul disclosed that, the payments were made  the respective institutions to after verifying the status of the students.

The beneficiaries include students of the Ibrahim Babangida University, Lapai with entry fees as much as N52,900 and Federal University of Technology, Minna which charges as much as N61,450.

Others are students of the Nigeria Army University, Biu which charges N49, 200 and Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria where returning Pharmaceutical Sciences students paid N49, 716.

Similarly, the lawmaker said that, he has concluded arrangements to register 500 candidates from his constituency for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
