Re: Empty houses in Abuja

Are houses no longer built to be inhabited? There are many houses in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, but for many years, nobody lives there. It is wasteful and foolish to build a house worth millions of naira and leave it to rot, for any reason whatsoever.

Government should make good their plan to seize these houses and put them to productive use. Owners of such houses should also be probed.

I don’t think anyone who works hard and earns money legitimately would lock up his or her house for years without putting it into good use. What is the need of keeping a property that does not yield any profit? What could be the reason behind such unwise decision?

SPONSOR AD

Owners of such houses should be investigated and prosecuted without delay.
