The Gombe State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has directed teachers of public schools across the state to enroll their children in public schools, to enhance performance.
Executive Chairman, Mr Babaji Babadidi, stated this at a one-day interactive session organised for head teachers in Gombe Local Government Area.
Mr Babadidi said the directive was aimed at compelling public school managers and teachers to take their work seriously.
“If our teachers’ children are attending public schools, it will make them serious and dedicated to their work. As such, the much desired impact the state government is working to achieve will be attained,” he said.
He warned the teachers that the SUBEB had zero tolerance for absenteeism and lateness.
