The Lagos State Examination Board has commenced the sale of screening test forms for admission into the 16 Model Colleges/Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools I for the 2020/2021 session in the state.
A statement on Tuesday by the Board’s Director, Mr Supo Gbadegesin, said the screening test was compulsory for pupils to be admitted into the state model colleges and upgraded schools with boarding facilities.
“Any candidate that passes the test and meets the required cut-off marks will be offered admission into any of the colleges and upgraded schools, irrespective of his or her first or second school of choice.
“Only primary six pupils between the ages of 10 and 11 years-old as at June 2020 in both public and private primary schools are eligible to participate in the screening test,” he said.
He said the forms would be available from January 20 to April 30, 2020 at a cost of N10,000 per pupil.
Gbadegesin noted that late registration would commence between May 4 and May 15, adding that it would attract additional payment of N5,000.
He added that the screening test would be based on Paper-Pencil Testing (PPT) and Computer-Based Testing (CBT) versions.
“The CBT would hold at ICT Room of the Lagos State Examination Board from May 25 to May 28, while the PPT would hold on May 30 at 43 designated centres across the state,” he said.
The board’s director urged parents, guardians, head teachers, proprietors and proprietress in both public and private schools to register their wards/pupils for admission into the model colleges.
