The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) said it is suspending registration for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in 243 centres on Thursday (tomorrow only).
A statement issued by Dr Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s head of media, said the board “regrets to announce that there would be no (and there should be no) registration exercise in the 243 centres where a third-party recruitment examination will take place across the nation tomorrow, Thursday, January 16, 2020.”
He said the decision was taken to avoid overcrowding of the centres, adding that registration would resume on Friday, January 17, 2020.
“The Board regrets all inconveniences this decision must have caused the candidates,” he said further.
The registration exercise would last between January 13 and February 17.
