Author Helon Habila said his last good read is ‘The Shadow King by Maaza Mengiste. “It’s a beautiful book. I respect her writing and recommend it.”
Habila is the author of four novels, ‘Waiting for an Angel,’ ‘Measuring Time,’ ‘Oil on Water,’ and ‘Travelers.’ Also, a nonfiction work titled ‘The Chibok Girls.’ He is the first Nigerian recipient of the Caine Prize for African Writing which he won in 2001, a year after it was established.
