NAF, Edo govt partner on Benin Airport

The Nigerian Airforce says it is collaborating with the Edo state government to provide 24-hour control of the night landing facilities at the Benin Airport to ensure safety.

The Commander, 107 Air Maritime Group, Nigerian Air Force (NAF), Benin,  Group Captain Nasiru Saidu, disclosed  this yesterday while receiving the Special Adviser to governor Godwin Obaseki, on Security Matters, Yusuf Haruna.

“We have been rendering assistance to Edo state government in general and we will continue to collaborate with the government when the need arises, and will do our best in terms of security. We have our men on patrol 24 hours at the Benin Airport and this has safeguarded the night landing facilities at the Airport.”

According to him, the leadership of Governor Godwin Obaseki, has executed some projects for NAF in Benin following the good working relationship that exists between them.

He noted that NAF has been collaborating with sister agencies so as to keep the state safe and peaceful.

On his part, the Special Adviser to the governor on Security Matters, Haruna Yusuf, said the state government has enjoyed robust relationship with the Nigerian Air Force.
