NYSC condoles with family of deceased prospective corps member

The Osun State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Adegoke Adewale has paid a condolence visit to the family of a prospective corps member, Fakayode Oluwatosin Jacob who died in a motor accident on his way to orientation camp.

Fakayode Oluwatosin, an indigene of Iwo in Osun State who graduated with a distinction credit of 3.56 in Mass Communication from the Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State, died alongside other prospective corps members in a ghastly motor accident on Mokwa road, Niger State on their way to NYSC camp in Katsina state for the Batch C stream II orientation course.

When he visited the parents and relations of the late corps member in Iwo on behalf of NYSC Director-General, Brig General Shuaibu Ibrahim, the Osun State Coordinator of the scheme, Adegoke lamented that the death of Oluwatosin Fakayode was a great loss not only to the family but to the Nation.

Adegoke who led other officials of NYSC to the family house in Iwo prayed for restoration and comfort to the family and other families involved.

The State Coordinator encouraged the families not to lose their joy. He said “in every situation, the best thing is, giving thanks to God Almighty, who is the author and finisher of our faith.”

The parents expressed appreciation to NYSC for the love and support. They prayed for the safety of other corps members, who would be embarking on journeys to their various destinations after the orientation course.
