He lamented that corruption has prevented the nation from providing quality education to the youths in the country.

The don who chronicled the evolution of university in the country, said the challenges facing government-owned universities such as lack of needed facilities to make learning conducive, paved way for the preponderance of the private universities in the country.

While noting that the inability of the public universities to absorb admission-seekers equally accounted for the emergence of private universities, he said to that end, apart from providing jobs and admissions, private universities have eliminated disruptions in academic calendar.

In his welcome address, the Vice Chancellor of PCU, Prof, Kola Oloke, said the institution has plans for students on entrepreneurship.

“This includes the fact that every 300-level student must register his/her business with the Corporate Affairs Commission. I assure you that as a matter of must, each of our students is now incubating a business plan,” said the VC.

Also, the chancellor of the institution, Bishop Francis Wale Oke, said the nation was tired of producing educated crooks, noting that it was time, Godly youths were raised.
