Foreign scouts marvel at football talents in Nigeria

Some of the foreign scouts who attended the recently concluded 60 Goals Soccer Stars Talent hunt programme in Abuja have unanimously said Nigeria is blessed with abundant talents in the game of football.

They also classified the talent hunt programme as one of the most successful in the country.

Ukraine’s Oleg Dziuba, who doubles as the U-21 chief coach in his native country said he was amazed by the budding talents in Nigeria.

“I’m totally overwhelmed by what we have seen so far. Highly impressed by the youngsters and I can assured you that most of them are going to get foreign contracts as early as possible”

Another scout, Gianfranco Gazzoli said the programme completely surpassed his expectations.

“You have great talents in Nigeria. The youngsters we have seen so far are highly determined and they exhibit great confidence on the field of play.”

Francis Ikechukwu, 60 Goals Soccer Stars Project Manager, said 25 players would be selected from Abuja centre to advance to the next phase.

“Players who prove to have the exceptional skills and qualities necessary to succeed will be put forward for the second screening by the European Clubs Representatives.”

The 60 Goals Soccer Stars Project which ended in Abuja on Friday is sponsored by Hon. Ned Nwoko.
