THE LAST GOOD BOOK I READ…

Muhammad Gulani (Writer) Becoming Nigerian by Elnathan John

Writer Muhammad Gulani said his last good read is Elnathan John’s ‘Becoming Nigerian.’ “It’s a satire on what Nigeria is,” he said. “I recommend the book to a lot of people, particularly foreign friends. When they ask what Nigeria is like with Boko Haram, I tell them to read Elnathan John’s ‘Becoming Nigerian.’ One might take it as a joke, but Nigerians do believe in the Nigerian God because we are very religious people. We are also many things. A friend said love Nigeria or leave her. I believe a lot of people love this country and hopefully will want to make it work.”
